Ken was later joined by his partner, former British Champion and 3 times Scottish Champion Steven Jones (Director). Steven originally from Manchester is a past World Championship Gold Medallist and specialises in working with long hair for weddings and formal occasions and is in high demand creating hairstyles for fashion shows and photo shoots in Europe, especially Spain during Spanish Fashion Week.
Steven is the current President of the Northern Ireland Hairdressers Association and is also manager and trainer of team N.I. He has trained many Northern Ireland and All Ireland Champions and is an International judge. Steven likes nothing better than being involved with weddings and has years of valuable experience to offer any bride.
Ryan Ebbitt (Salon Manager) is originally from Co.Tyrone and has been with Kenneth Michael for 7 years during which time he has firmly established himself as one of Belfast’s best and well liked stylists.
He is current Norther Ireland Stylist of the year, current Scottish Champion, All Ireland Bridal Champion and member of team N.I.
Ryan’s young and friendly approach attracts a wide range of clients from those wanting up to the minute edgy looks incorporating braids; big blow-dry sometimes using extensions and red carpet up styling. He has a vast knowledge on all aspect of colouring and provides stunning bridal creations.
Rachael Smyth Byers, originally from Co.Tyrone has been with the salon for 4 years. Her bubbly and friendly personality has made her popular with clients if all ages. She specialised in cutting, colouring and up styling and is an expert in foiling and meche. Not to be left out of the competition scene Rachael is the holder of the Denman 75th Anniversary Trophy.
Deirdre Smyth, originally from Co.Donegal has been with the salon for over 3 years. Her friendly and outgoing manner along with her wealth of experience has made her popular with clients of all ages.
Donna Wallace began her career in hairdressing with Kenneth Michael as a trainee in 1986. She gained her professional qualifications as a stylist during her initial years with the salon. Although leaving the salon after six years to start a family Donna freely admits that she missed the friendly atmosphere so much that she wanted to return “home” as she calls it. She is well known locally for her friendliness and humour and is faithful to her clients as they are to her.
